Development in 2017 giving a new shape for Programmers

Coding at present has become one of the most in demand skill to have and has no indication of changing it anytime soon. In fact, coding is highly valued and it is no surprise that it  has continued the importance of mobile development, IoT deployments and the growing trends of AI, VR, digital assistants and cognitive applications. This results in utilizing the talent and creativity of the developer workforce.

This indicates that developers are in demand. Dedicated developer goes through constant and never ending learning process; there is always something new in technology, language to keep an eye on. The digital and software development companies are still in their infancy and change is both constant and unrelenting.

Keeping this mind, developers need to take care of these four specific things to keep an eye in 2017 if they want to stay ahead of the market.

This indicates that developers are in demand. Dedicated developer goes through constant and never ending learning process; there is always something new in technology, language to keep an eye on. The digital and software development companies are still in their infancy and change is both constant and unrelenting.

Visual Design Tool will gain the ground

The supply and demand will have the major bang on the developer skills market in 2017. For this, the well documented demand will be met by development tools more accessible to everyone. During early stages, many non-developers we used to perform the developer functions to some extent i.e drag and drop their way to desktop applications visually with the help of WinForms. Since then, the Web and cloud have paved their way in development far more decentralized and complex, fringing out anyone who is not expert developer. In this upcoming year, we will be able to see the convergence of the tools like WinForms where enterprise developers can visually assemble large parts of their application making development more attainable for all developers.

Increase of Throwaway Apps

The boom of app of 2008 is ended. The freshness factor is worn off since long and when we download an application we tend to download the one that we use for the long term. However, the new breed of throwaway apps have started making their way onto our devices. Enterprises are developing the apps to come upon the solutions for specific problems and then to never revisit and use them again. Mobile App development may need the significant investment that may make significant investment making this prohibitively expensive and inefficient. Moreover, the new tools and technologies are emerging that makes the coding quicker and efficient making this a more feasible approach.

JavaScript will be Earnest

JavaScript nowadays is used for development of server side that drives android and iOS apps. It has become pretty hard to find the system where JavaScript has not influenced. JavaScript holds a strong foothold in large enterprises. Node.js, NativeScript, Microsoft’s TypeScript are supported by progress. Long term before, Node made a long pace for larger businesses for long term support plans. In 2017, we will watch Node specifically in JavaScript to get into traditional C# and Java use cases for companies. The more large scale deployments occur, the more firmly deployments are entrenched that come across the enterprise.

Web Components are making their Long way

It is not always for developers that they get what they want. 2017 doesn’t bring complete supported web component standard. The performance issues like Shadow DOM is constant.  Since Apple implemented Shadow DOM in Safari, the feature has always been there and opening the API was more of a convenient gesture than a nod towards support of the standard. While developers and browser vendors alike acknowledge the need of native support for the components, libraries like React and Angular continue to bridge the gap and can even provide more to developers in the way of application features that simply a component model. Both Angular and React may continue to gain adoption and will be the developer's “Web component” solution for the likely future.

The big thing for the developers is staying aware of its changing trends around them. And as the demand grows, larger scale deployments, especially for the enterprise, the skills and tools becoming entrenched will increase. 2017 will be more about being the gatekeepers of the software instead of building the software. The developers who are able to embrace this new world will be the ones ruling the development industry.
